Registration and Electoral Office provides statutory declarations service for matters related to voter registration in geographical constituencies

When processing voter registration related matters, the Registration and Electoral Office may, pursuant to the relevant electoral regulations, require applicants/ electors to provide documents issued within the last three months as valid proof of address. This Office also accepts a statutory declaration provided by the applicant/ elector made before a Commissioner for Oaths/a practising solicitor/a Justice of the Peace to substantiate the claim of residing at the address by virtue of the Oaths and Declarations Ordinance (Cap.11).

Free service for making statutory declarations related to voter registration is now available at this Office.

To make a declaration, members of the public should visit our Office in person and must bring along identity documents (e.g. Identity Card). The service is simple. Members of the public should complete a declaration form (sample downloadable here) and declare as instructed in front of a Commissioner for Oaths.
