Voter Registration

Vetting and Inquiries

To maintain the credibility of the voter registration system and enhance the accuracy and completeness of the information contained in the registers of electors, the Registration and Electoral Office (“REO”) implements checking measures and carries out statutory inquiry process in every voter registration cycle. In the event that electors have received enquiry / inquiry letters from the REO, the electors concerned are required to complete and return the reply slips attached so as to confirm or update their registered addresses by the prescribed deadline along with the address proofs (if applicable).

Electors who fail to respond in the inquiry process by the deadline will be included in the Omissions List to be published in the voter registration cycle. Upon completion of the inquiry process, electors failing to provide valid reply will be removed during the compilation of the next Final Register.
